Things participants should know:
During the event, participants should make every possible effort to avoid harming or abandoning the valuable seedlings.
This activity has certain physical requirements. Participants should be physically fit, suitable for field activities, and be able to cope with 3 km of continuous hiking, lasting for 2-4 hours. There may be rough terrain such as gravel slopes, so participants should be comfortable with walking on imperfect terrain. If participants are not sure whether their health and fitness is appropriate for this activity, please consult your doctor before registering.
Participants/teams need to transport seedlings and tools from the starting point, unassisted, to the hills. They will then plant and fertilise them at designated locations, experiencing and savouring the challenges faced by tree-planters on a daily basis.
(Reference weight: 8 saplings are roughly equal to a pack of 5 kilograms).
Participants need to complete the challenge within 4 hours, planting the designated number of seedlings along the hiking trail of about 3 km.
If you have heart disease, asthma, bronchitis, respiratory obstruction, spine injury, etc., please consult your doctor about whether your physical condition is suitable for this activity.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older, and Young Group 15 to 22 years of age (calculated on April 29, 2018).
The conference will purchase public liability insurance for participants (the insurance purchased covers participants who are from 3 to 70 years old). Participants may consider buying their own personal insurance.
