Senior Project Officer (Temp up to 6 months)

 

 

“Tree Planting Challenge” is one of our FoE’s flagship programs, which is unique environmental activity that combines tree-planting, hiking and a test of your endurance.  Since 2005, 85,000 seedlings had been planted in country parks.  9,000 people participated in the past 10 years.  TPC 2018 aims to combat climate change and increase biodiversity & ecological value of plantations in country parks.

 

 

 

Your Main Tasks

 

 

  • Assists project leader for the development and implementation of project
  • Plans and executes the planting site preparation, logistic, promotion, training, recruitment, fundraising activities to achieve the targets of the campaign
  • Manages large events for hundreds of participants and volunteers in a systematic way

 

Your Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor degree or above, major in Environmental Studies, Marketing or equivalent
  • Experience in woodland habitat management and local ecological conservation work
  • Working experience with a NGO, digital media corporation will be an advantage
  • Be creative, result-driven and well-organized
  • Able to work outdoor and hiking for few hours
  • Good multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, and good writing skills in both Chinese and English

 

 

Project Officer (Contract)

  

Your Main Tasks

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Plans and carries out promotional and educational activities and events for Community Engagement projects and/ or other similar estate resident engagement projects in Hong Kong
  • Plans, organizes and implements community engagement activities and events and/ or educational projects according to master project plan
  • Maintains the content in digital media for the events and activities promotion
  • Assists other projects for educations, corporation engagement , and FoE HK’s flagship projects
  • Works on other projects assigned by supervisors
  • Reports to the team head or supervisor

 

 

 

Your Experience & Skills

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent, major in project management or related subjects
  • 2 years relevant working experience
  • Experience in report and proposal writing
  • NGO working experience preferred
  • Have a good command of Chinese and English (both written and verbal)
  • Good interpersonal, communications and problem solving skills
  • Sound MS Application skills
  • Action oriented, target focused, and good time management
  • Self-disciplined and motivated, and energetic
  • A good team player
  • Passion in environmental protection movement
