Special Screening of “Before the Flood”
Supported by FoE (HK), the first Asia screening of “Before the Flood” was successfully held on 25 October 2016 in Hong Kong University, Yuet Ming Auditorium. We are proud to be the supporting organization of this Special Screening.

“Before the Flood” is a documentary film about climate change directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Fisher Stevens, and teamed with Academy Award-winning actor, environmental activist and U.N. Messenger of Peace Leonardo DiCaprio to highlight the areas in world most affected right now by climate disturbances and rising sea levels. The film follows DiCaprio as he travels to five continents and the Arctic speaking to scientists, world leaders, activists and local residents to gain a deeper understanding of this complex issue and investigate concrete solutions to the most pressing environmental challenge of our time.

COOL Corporate - COOL Talk Series (Veggi)
The third COOL Talk Series - Veggi was successfully held on 7 October 2016. Thank you for your active participation!

The talk was held in the Veggi Kitchen of Green Monday - Green Common x OVO. The speakers brought a fruitful sharing on various revolutionized veggi experiences, ways to reduce carbon footprint and “FOOD 2.0”.

RTHK CIBS – “Earth COOL Living”
Partnered with Community Involvement Broadcasting Service (CIBS), FoE (HK)’s “Earth COOL Living” is a radio program with the aim to inform, educate and communicate to the public about the challenges of Climate Change. The program consists of 13 episodes, each episode offers insight and fun facts to topics that each individual could make a difference to save the Earth by changing their knowledge, attitude and practices.

Broadcasting of “Earth COOL Living” has been finished on 4 October, 2016. We would like to thank all the guests and singers for their valuable contributions to make this radio program a success.

Re-home Box Cover Design Competition Award Ceremony
The Re-home Box Cover Design Competition Award Ceremony was successfully held on 7 October 2016. The Champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up and merit award winners received cash prizes of HK$ 4,000, HK$3,000, HK$2,000 and HK$500 respectively. The champion design will be selected as the reference design for designing the “Re-home box” in the future. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you for your active participation!
Connecting with Nature - Hong Kong Biodiversity Festival 2016
The opening ceremony of Hong Kong Biodiversity Festival 2016 was successfully held on 15 October 2016 at Green Club in Tai Po. Over 120 activities, including eco-tours, workshops and volunteer programmes are launched from October to December 2016. Let’s all connect with nature!

Green Delight in Estates Phase 10
The Phase 10 “Green Delight in Estates” will begin soon. A total of 11 public housing estates will participate in the programme to promote food waste and waste reduction. For details, please check our official website and Facebook page.
EMSD Summit 2016: Imaginovate Hong Kong
“EMSD Summit 2016: Imaginovate Hong Kong” will be held on 17-18 November 2016, to explore Hong Kong’s transformation into a world class energy saving city in the next 50 years. Local and overseas experts will discuss the latest electrical and mechanical solutions, and energy-saving measures for a future Hong Kong. Dr. Vivian Taam Wong, Chairperson of FoE (HK) will also deliver a speech titled “Trees.COOLiving” in the Summit.

Water Conservation Week 2016
In support of “Climate Ready @ HK” Campaign , Water Supplies Department will organize "Water Conservation Week 2016" on 17-21 November 2016 to promote water conservation, establish water saving culture, and strengthen concerted efforts to overcome the challenge of climate change.

Venue : Jockey Club Innovation Tower, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Fee : Free admission

Urban Innovations - Vienna
