On November 23, we spotted Shenzhou-5 spacecraft...this time not in outer space, but in Victoria Park at the 4th Solar Cart Race organised by Friends of the Earth (HK).

This wasn't really the real thing even though it was also powered by solar energy to generate electricity and motion. This Shenzhou-5 look-a-like, designed and constructed by Aberdeen Technical School, walked away with this year's The Most Artistic Design and The Earth Design Awards.

As spaceman moonwalked, rather clumsily, to greet us, he showed us that sky's the limit for creativity and fun ideas at the Solar Cart Race. This heavily-geared spaceman, accidentally, became the mascot of the day and their design inspired many to reflect not only on the most advanced, but also on the most practical uses of solar energy.

When on stage and asked by mcees how he felt about being voted the favourite of the day, our local spaceman quoted the real spaceman, answering: "I feel great!"

特別消息！我們在11月23日於維多利亞公園目睹神州五號太空船。不過我們並非目睹它在外太空執行任務，太空船 ---- 其實應該是仿製太空人和冒名太空車之所以在維園出現，是為了參加香港地球之友主辦的第四屆太陽能車大賽。

這架像真的太空船「神州五號」由香港仔工業學校設計，也是靠太陽能發電，並勇奪今屆的最佳外型設計大獎及擁抱地球設計大獎。

太空人一身的觸目打扮，很快便成為全場焦點；太空人亦肩負著「香工船隊」吉祥物的重大任務，以月球漫步似的步姿，四出展開親善大使的任務。不過，吉祥物和他隊員的最重大任務，是以無窮創意及有趣構思，令人聯想到太陽能的先進發展，更令人深思太陽能的日常用途。

當「港版楊利偉」上台接受最佳外型設計大獎，被問及得獎感受時，這位本地太空人引述真太空人的話，一面向群眾揮手，一面回答說：「感覺非常好！」
