Friends of the Earth (HK) held its 20th anniversary on December 4 at the Government House. The evening saw our founding director Ms Linda Siddall, other founding members, past and present board members, long-time supporters, and green visionaries of Hong Kong's green movement gather together to celebrate FoE (HK)'s 20 years of community service and environmental achievements, and to offer their well wishes for FoE (HK)'s green missions in Hong Kong and China for the next 20 years and beyond.

Since FoE (HK)'s establishment in 1983, a lot more positive work has been done for the environment of Hong Kong and China. The future for our environment, as Ms Linda Siddall sees it when addressing the audience on our celebration night, will be that "FoE (HK) will continue to go from strength to strength, providing inspiration, encouragement, and practical outlets for everyone committed to protecting the world's beauty".


香港地球之友於12月4日在禮賓府舉行20周年紀念晚會。當天出席的嘉賓包括本會的創會總幹事司徒蓮、其他創會成員、過去及現在的董事會成員、長期支持者及其他為香港環保事業貢獻良多的人士，大家濟濟一堂慶祝香港地球之友20年來作出的社會慈善服務和在環境保護方面的成就，並同時展望香港地球之友未來的20年及以後的日子在香港和中國所執行的綠色使命。

香港地球之友自1983年成立以來，為香港和中國的環境工作帶來很多積極的推動。正如我們的創會總幹事司徒蓮在紀念會上說：「未來香港地球之友將發揮更大的影響力，並繼續啟發、鼓勵，並提供共同參與的機會給所有為保育地球而努力的人士。」
