Environmental protection and education play an essential role in improving Hong Kong environment. Hence, part of the profit would be spent on educational programmes.

Do you agree that “Waste Is the mis-matched resource”? Once you know how to sort and recycle, most waste can be re-used. Joining our recycling programmes would not just reallocate the resource but also reduce the waste. In which, the profits made could be used for our work.

Let’s get to know more about the way-out of recyclables:

The used clothes collected from housing estates/ organizations and the public would be sent for classification. We would reuse and recycle through

  1. Donate to charities and the need in the society. We also welcome the charities to contact us directly.
  2. Part of the used clothes will be sold to the countries which have a great need on used clothes. The profit would be spent on our environmental education and protection work.
The collected CD would be crashed and taken as the raw plastic material or eco-CD.
The collected glass would be ground to granules and compressed to eco-brick under high pressure to replace the natural sand as a new construction material.
It is made from petroleum and it can replace wood and be used as raw plastic material after recyle.
Do you know how your recycler deal with the WEEE? WEEE contains heavy metal so please recycle in a proper way to ensure no pollution leak out during disassembly. We highly recommend “Conscientious Recycling” and pass to WEEE to those centers under supervision for recycling. This center would send the devices to the need after reparation or else they would disassemble and recycle different parts properly.
There are 2 way-outs after recycling
  1. First take off the ink inside the cartridge and crush the packing into raw plastic material. Other parts would be re-used or re-cycled in the same way.
  2. Refill the cartridge and re-use them.
In landfill, one third of the rubbish is food waste. However, food waste can be recycled and turned into fertilizer and animal feed while many countries are taking up the recycling practice. But most important concern is to reduce food waste at the very beginning point.
Old banners would be sewed into Bannerbag practical products after collection.
