Old Banners Up-cycling Programme

Hong Kong is full of various promotional events which produce a large amount of banners. However it is hard to collect them for recycling due to their bulky size.

Since Sept 2011, FoE(HK) has partnered with Bannerbag to launch the “Old Banners Up-cycling Programme” which aims to turn “rubbish” into new and practical products. The old banners will be designed and sewed into unique BANNERBAG upon collection.

To put a value on the old banners, which take more than 100 years to degrade, and to love nature with creation, Bannerbag set up production line in Hong Kong and hired experienced tailors and professional designers. They have many years of testing and review, and the products are so trendy and durable.

Old Banner Donation
We welcome all kinds of old banner donations. Please fill in the old banner donation form and return it to us. We will pass on your information to our partner, Bannerbag, to follow up. (Please note that we set a minimum donation amount for door-to-door collection services)

Corporate Participation
Please purchase the Bannerbag which are made from your old banners to fulfill the producer responsibility. Kindly contact us for further details.

Educational Workshop
We have launched a new education workshop on banner upcycling. The participants will be able to learn about the pros & cons of current waste management system and the concept of upcyling. They would be able to make their handmade Banner Bag at the same time!
