Friends of the Earth (HK) is initiating Conscientious Recycling because we believe that proper processing of e-waste is a matter of civil responsibility. It is simply wrong and unconscionable to export hazardous electronic waste to an unknown treatment pathway.
FoE (HK) encourages you to pledge your support of our "Conscientious Recycling Charter" in 2010. The green deed commits to persuade companies to set up an internal system to collect used computers, electrical waste and electronic equipment from every residents/ students / department of your company, and send to the proper recycling channels verified by the Environmental Protection Department. |
