Tree Greetings for Christmas Giving, Happiness is about Giving Back to Nature
Christmas is a festival of warmth and love. This Christmas, let us save the dying earth and the nature of humankind together! Would you like to send your friends and relatives the blessings of Hong Kong local saplings instead of material gifts and hard-to-grow Christmas trees?

Your Christmas greetings will bring a thriving future to local saplings in Tai Lam Country Park, Tsuen Wan, and work together with Friends of the Earth (HK) to combat climate change.

What Hong Kong must do to survive the deadly impact of a warming Earth

Save Our Santa

Christmas is approaching. We know that festivals often stir up shopping mood but after a round of over-consumption, tonnes of unwanted items are thrown away and eventually they end up in landfills or incinerators. The slow degradation process and incineration process release a large amount of greenhouse gases, accelerating climate change. This Christmas, in order to raise public awareness on reducing textile waste at source, FoE (HK) is hosting a campaign called "Save Our Santa”, with hope that public will donate the clothes they once loved and save Santa with us together.

Vote for the Earth

The 2019 District Council Election was held successfully. In order to encourage the public to monitor the green commitments of District Council members and to facilitate the implementation of environmental policies in communities, FoE (HK) has previously conducted a survey consulting a total of 1,089 candidates from 18 districts about their views on environmental protection and sustainable development. As seen from the survey result, district council members have shown an overall good level of awareness to environmental issues. Voters in various districts should monitor and build a green community together after the District Council members are elected.
