Programme Objective & Service

According to Monitoring of Solid Waste on Hong Kong, Hong Kong people generate an average of over 10,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste every day. The three landfills are gradually getting overfilled. Reusable and recyclable materials are often disposed at landfills along with garbage becoming waste. To protect the environment, we must use resources in a sustainable manner and reuse and recycle as much as we can. It is time for every one of us to reduce, reuse and recycle. In addition, we must reflect on our present unsustainable lifestyles and development.

Our recycling programmes include used clothes and printer cartridges. In the "Used Clothes Recycling Programme”, collection points are set up in housing estates, hospitals, and other public area. Collected items like clothes, shoes, and handbags would then be sent to the needy or resold to places with high demand for used clothes. Profits made from the programme are used on FoE(HK)’s operation and education work.

Take part in sustainable consumption, please support our "Waste. No Way – Recycling Programme”.
