CESGA Scholarship Programme
Background and Aim
As
one of the international financial centres, Hong Kong needs to catch the global
trend of green finance development and incubate talents in the industry. In
view of this, Friends of the Earth (HK) has partnered with the European
Federation of Financial Analysts (EFFAS) since 2020 to launch the first
internationally accredited Certified Environmental, Social and Governance
Analyst programme (CESGA) in Hong Kong. This marked an important milestone in
the development of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) professional
education in Hong Kong.
To
support young talent who are interested to develop their career in the ESG
field, CESGA Scholarship Programme was launched in 2021. This year, Friends of
the Earth (HK) and The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited are proud to
present the CESGA Scholarship Programme 24/25. This exclusive scholarship
programme aims to support and encourage students and fresh graduates to engage
in the field of sustainable finance and ESG principles.
Awardees
will each receive a generous $10,000 grant to subsidise their EFFAS CESGA
course and examination fees for the December 2024 or March 2025 intake. This is
an exceptional opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills in sustainable
finance, empowering yourself to become a leader in this growing field.
Eligible
students and fresh graduates are welcome to submit their online applications on
or before 7 June 2024. Late submissions will not be accepted.
