Green Delight in Estates
The “Green Tour” and “Food. No Waste” was held on 13 January. The participants from Mei Lam Estate and Lek Yuen Estate visited the Museum of Climate Change. They also learnt to transform food waste into homemade pesticide in the workshops in Shatin Community Green Station. In the evening, they collected unsold vegetables in the market and enjoyed a decent dinner in a restaurant.

More activities from Green Delight in Estates will be held after Lunar New Year. For event schedule, please visit http://ha.foe.org.hk/
Joint Statement in Response to the Mainland’s Tightening Recyclables Import Requirement
The Government launched the new recycling policy of targeting three types of paper and two types of plastic to match mainland’s tightened waste import requirements starting from 2018. Nine environmental groups including us made a joint response pointing out that there are local recyclers who can manage plastic #4 to #6. We also proposed that the Government set up a central plastic waste processing centre for sorting and develop the local recycling sector.
School Talk - “Sustainable Development Goal #12: Responsible Consumption and Production - FOOD”
